Stunning mottled blue Milch leather accordion handbag, dating from the late 50s. A similar example can be seen on The Metropolitan Museum of Art website.
Designed by Frank Milch and produced under the Milch brand. The Milch logo can be seen on the inside of the bag. Beautiful German quality and design, the bag concertinas out to give lots of storage space! I haven’t seen another in this gorgeous blue.
All dimensions are approximate. Body of bag measures 30cm across, 18cm high (plus handles) 3cm deep when flat, opening up to 15cm.
Some wear to the handles and corners, shown in the photos but in very good condition for its age.
